Anna Litvinenko and Danilo Mascetti are a dynamic duo that play with daring virtuosity and the utmost sensitivity. With a shared passion for both modern and early repertoires, they create a seamless dialogue between composers like Lera Auerbach and Jolivet and the traditional canon. Their musical paths first crossed while studying at the Royal College of Music in London, before they both pursued further studies in early music at the Koninklijk Conservatorium in The Hague—Anna on the historical cello and Danilo on historical pianos. Their performances of Classical and Romantic works on period instruments—such as their recent interpretations of Beethoven and Mendelssohn sonatas—reveal an understanding of the music's historical context, while retaining their personal flair.

Since 2020, Anna and Danilo have been playing together across Italy and The Netherlands, with highlights including a memorable rendition of the Beethoven Triple Concerto at the 2022 Arte Solidale Festival. Their recent recitals showcase an eclectic mix of Janáček, Poulenc and Strauss songs, as well as collaborative projects that expand their duo to include Brahms Trios and lesser-known quartets by Schubert and X.A. Mozart.
